e-PEMICU is an e-Health platform to support early-mobilisation programmes in Intensive Care Units, built on non-invasive motion sensors and smartphones so that it stays affordable and easy to deploy in real scenarios. Practitioners use it to manage and record early-mobilisation sessions, objectively measure how well the routines are performed, and analyse the collected data with data- and process-mining algorithms. The work grew out of my second final degree project, an exhaustive study of Human Activity Recognition (HAR) techniques to support early mobilisation in ICUs, and was presented at the 10th International Conference on Information, Intelligence, Systems and Applications (IISA 2019) in Patras, Greece, and indexed in IEEE Xplore.
